To strengthen foundations for humanitarian activities

24. Recruiting Members for the Red Cross

The Japanese Red Cross members are individuals and corporations who support the mission of the Japanese Red Cross Society. Membership is open to all, and anyone can join by contributing a minimum of 2,000 Japanese Yen per year as a membership fee. These fees help fund the organization’s humanitarian aid efforts and support a wide range of activities.

Since its establishment in 1877, the Japanese Red Cross Society has relied on the support of its members. Over the past century and a half, its activities have expanded to meet evolving humanitarian needs, including wartime relief, disaster relief, international aid, medical services, blood donation programs, and social welfare initiatives. As these needs continue to grow, member support remains essential for enabling rapid emergency response and building a society where life, health, and dignity are protected. Additionally, membership contributions play a crucial role in making Red Cross activities sustainable.

Please support the activities of the Japanese Red Cross Society as a member.
