International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Pavilion is now complete!

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Pavilion was completed on March 10, 2025.

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Pavilion will be exhibited as a “Type B” pavilion which is a standalone building constructed by the Expo Association.

In the pavilion, human stories of people facing global humanitarian crises will be shown in an immersive hemispherical dome theater. These humanitarian crises happening around the world are not distant events, but realities faced by people who, like us, were living their everyday lives.

The pavilion consists of the following three zones to provide visitors with an opportunity to not only learn about the current situation of the humanitarian crisis, but also to think deeply about what they can do to help.

Zone 1: Notice Everyone living their own lives.

Images will be projected onto black-and-white portraits through projection mapping, creating a vibrant backdrop for each person’s daily life.
When you take a closer look at these unique, everyday moments, what do you feel? Let’s reflect on humanity by experiencing the ordinary yet irreplaceable daily lives of others.

Zone 2: Think The Power of Humanity.

In this highly immersive hemispherical dome theater, you will witness the moment when devastating humanitarian crises collide with those dedicated to humanitarian action.
If you are moved by the words and actions of those who fight to protect human life and dignity, let those feelings take root—because that can become a force that changes the world.

Zone 3: Act Take action for someone else.

As an opportunity to turn budding thoughts into action, the Red Cross' activities to save people are introduced. On the opposite side of the pavilion is a message wall where visitors can post messages about what they felt during the pavilion experience.

We hope that the pavilion experience will help visitors feel the importance of caring for others and inspire them to take a step forward to do something for someone else.

We sincerely look forward to seeing you at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai
